Ana Rita Monteiro is a Nanosciences and Nanotechnology PhD student at University of Aveiro since 2018 (FCT PhD scholarship). Her research is focused on the synthesis and characterization of new anticancer hybrid materials comprising carbon nanomaterials (graphene oxide and graphene quantum dots) and tetrapyrrolic macrocyles (porphyrins). She graduated in Biochemistry (2016) and obtained her Master degree in Chemistry (2018) at University of Aveiro. During her studies, she completed extracurricular courses and internships at ICBAS/FEUP (2016), INL (2017) and Università degli Studi di Padova (Erasmus+, 2018). Her main research interests are nanochemistry, medicinal chemistry, organic chemistry and biochemistry.
