Luís Lima Ferrás completed his second Ph.D., in Mathematics, at the University of Chester (UK) in 2019/01/15. His first Ph.D. was in Polymer Engineering (in 2012) - University of Minho (Portugal). He has a Master in Applied Mathematics (2007) by the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto and a "Licenciatura" (5 year degree) in Mathematics (2005 - University of Aveiro). He is now an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) and was previously a Junior Researcher at the Center of Mathematics of the University of Minho. Published 41 articles in International Peer-Reviewed journals, 18 conference proceedings, 16 posters and 61 oral presentations (15 invited oral presentations). He published 8 book chapters and 1 book is under development. Organized 9 international events. Co-supervised 1 PhD thesis in Mathematics (ongoing). Supervised 5 MSc dissertation(s). Supervised 1 work(s) of course completion of LSc/BSc. Has received 9 awards and/or honors.
