Isabel Fragata (IF) completed her PhD in in neuroscience in 2018, preceded by a Master's degree in Neuroscience in 2003 at the Medical School, University of Lisbon, and a degree in Medicine from Nova Medical School (UNL) in 2001. Since 2009, IF has been an integral part of the Central Lisbon Hospital Center as a Neuroradiology specialist. Her expertise was further developed through a prestigious Fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, in 2007/2008. In addition to her clinical expertise, IF contributes significantly to the pre and postgraduate education as an Invited Assistant Professor at Nova Medical School (UNL) and holds a position as a Consultant at the Centro Hospitalar Lisboa Central. Her scholarly output is notable, with 61 articles published in peer-reviewed journals and contributions to 6 book chapters. IF’s research interests are focused on cerebrovascular diseases imaging and treatment, encompassing areas such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Computed Tomography Perfusion, Subarachnoid Hemorrhage and Cerebral Vasospasm,cerebral Venous thrombosis among others. She has developed work in Delayed Cerebral Ischemia, Diffusion Tensor Imaging, Vascular Disorders, DWI, Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage, Ischemia, Perimesencephalic Hemorrhage, and Interventional Neuroradiology. IF's dedication to advancing medical science in these complex and interdisciplinary areas reflects her commitment to improving patient care and outcomes through research and innovation.
