Susanta Hazra, received his Ph.D. in 2011 from University of Calcutta, India. From 2012 to 2018, he has worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the group of Prof. Armando J. L. Pombeiro at Centro de Química Estrutural, University of Lisbon, Portugal. Later he has worked as an Assistant Researcher in the same group (2018-2024) . Currently, he is a Research Member at the CEEQ-ISEL (Centro de Estudos de Engenharia Química-Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa). He is (co)author of more than 60 published scientific articles including a book chapter and four review articles. His main research interests are to design and synthesize new multinuclear metal systems (homo- and heterometallic), and exploring their solid (crystal structures and magnetic properties) and solution state properties (luminescence and catalytic properties ). He has also been working on the synthesis of new organometallic systems (homo or heterometallic) and understanding their potential anticancer activities.
