Francisca Alves Teixeira is a Clinical and Health Psychologist (MSc, 2021) currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology – Cognitive-Behavioral Orientation at Lusófona University. She is a Teaching Assistant and Research Fellow at HEI-Lab (Digital Human-Environment Interaction Lab) and has been actively involved in national and international research projects on early risk for infant mental health, child maltreatment, and early intervention. She is part of the research teams for the HORIZON-EUROPE funded SERENA project (focusing on health and social care access for maltreated children in Europe) and INTERSECT (longitudinal study designed to examine perinatal mental health, intimate partner violence and maternal and infant outcomes). She has presented 23 peer-reviewed conference communications as first author and co-author at national and international conferences. Her research has resulted in two scientific articles: one published and one currently under peer review. Clinically, she worked for three years as a psychologist in a residential care setting for children and adolescents, implementing trauma-informed interventions and supervising care teams. Her professional and academic experience focus on bridging clinical practice and research, with a special interest in early detection of psychopathology and the development of evidence-based prevention strategies.
