I have a background in Biochemistry and in Food Science and Technology, with a focus on microbiological quality control of water and food matrices. During my master thesis, I have acquired scientific expertise in microbiology and in cell and molecular biology, with emphasis on the identification and isolation of foodborne pathogens and genome sequencing of pathogenic bacteria. I am currently in a research fellowship, where I acquired experience in chemical food analysis, statistical analysis of the data, and elaboration of scientific documents. During my brief scientific career, I have also developed competences in planning and implementing research assays in an organized and meticulous way and perform critical evaluation of the results.
