Concluiu o Mestrado integrado em Medicina em 2014 pela Universidade de Coimbra Faculdade de Medicina, Doutoramento em 2000 pela Universidade de Coimbra Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Mestrado em Engenharia Biomédica em 1996 pela Universidade de Coimbra Faculdade de Medicina e Licenciatura em Bioquímica em 1992 pela Universidade de Coimbra Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia. Realizou pós-doutoramento na área da Oncobiologia entre 2006-2011. Desempenhou funções docentes como professora auxiliar na Escola Universitária Vasco da gama entre 2002-2006 e 2011-2014. Foi interna de formação específica de Patologia Clínica no Serviço de Patologia Clínica do Centro Hospitalar e Universitário de Coimbra entre 2016 e 2020. Atualmente é assistente de Patologia Clínica no Laboratório de Microbiologia do Serviço de Patologia Clínica do Centro Hospitalar e Universitário de Coimbra e colabora com o Centro de Neurociências e Biologia Celular de Coimbra na área da Oncobiologia. Autora e co-autora de artigos em revistas científicas internacionais.
