Catarina Cipriano has a BSc degree in Chemistry completed in 2019 by the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (15 out of 20) and a MSc degree in Bioorganic Chemistry from the Faculty of Science and Technology - NOVA University of Lisbon (18 out of 20). She was awarded with a Merit Award given by the Sociedade Portuguesa de Química (SPQ) in 2018. Her master thesis project focused on the development of a synthetic route for the synthesis of a phosphoglycoglycerol and a family of related compounds, previously isolated from an algae "Asparagopsis Armata". Catarina Cipriano participated in “XXVII Encontro Nacional da Sociedade Portuguesa de Química” with an oral flash communication. She also presented two poster communications, one at 1st edition of the CQE Days, 2019; and at the 13th International Meeting of the Portuguese Carbohydrate Group - GLUPOR 13, 2019. Catarina Cipriano was awarded with a scholarship for initiation to investigation with the duration of one month in the program "Verão com Ciência”. She has been enrolled in the organization of the symposium 29th International Carbohydrate Symposium in 2018 (ICS 2018). In addition, Catarina Cipriano is part of the CNE - Portuguese Scouts Movement where is she enrolled in many activities of the association.
