  7. Comparison between heat treated sapwood and heartwood from Pinus pinaster. Sapwood and heartwood samples of Pinus pinaster were treated in an oven at 190ºC and 200ºC for 2-6h.   11. Influence of steam heating on the properties of pine (Pinus pinaster) and eucalypt (Eucalyptus globulus) wood. Heat treatment of Pinus pinaster and Eucalyptus globulus woods, two important species in Portugal, was made in the absence of air by steaming, inside an autoclave, for 2 to 12h at 190 ºC to 210ºC.
