My name is Inês Grenho, and I'm a Master in Oncobiology: Molecular Mechanisms in Cancer. I am a very ambitious person, a perfectionist, with an enormous sense of responsibility, and very proactive. However, I'm also very versatile and adaptable, being very committed to any mission assigned to me . Oncology and cancer research are my major fields of interest and those where I desire to devote my career and put all my effort. I have dedicated my academic career to understanding human and cancer biology and the principal intervenient factors of this contemporary concern, that constantly need improved therapeutics. I am particularly interested in contributing to overcome anti-cancer therapeutic resistance and ultimately confer an improvement in patients' overall survival. During my journey, I have developed my scientific and technical skills, just like cell culture and maintenance, chemical compounds screening, cell viability assays, Western Blot and RT-PCR and I have also contributed to several articles published in scientific journals. Over the last few years I have had the opportunity to work in the clinical area and to deepen my knowledge in the fields of diagnostics and genetics, an experience that I also consider an important contribution to my academic career. This experience showed me the importance of research work in clinical decisions and its impact on patients' lives.
