I am a dedicated marine biologist with a strong foundation in molecular biology, immunology, and environmental science. After graduating cum laude with a Bachelor’s in Pharmaceutical and Biological Laboratory Technology, I pursued an international MSc in Marine Biological Resources (IMBRSea), which I completed magna cum laude. This program shaped my interdisciplinary approach to studying marine systems and allowed me to develop expertise in molecular analysis, in vitro techniques, and ecological data interpretation. Currently, I work as a research technician at the Centro de Ciências do Mar (CCMAR) in Faro, where I contribute to the INNATEMEM project investigating innate immune responses and microbiota dynamics in Mytilus galloprovincialis. My work at CCMAR combines my interests in marine biology, molecular biology, and immunology. This role has strengthened not only my technical skills in molecular and microbiological methods, but also my communication and leadership abilities through mentoring graduate students and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams. I thrive in collaborative scientific environments where complex challenges are tackled through diverse perspectives and clear, effective communication. With a strong interest in marine invertebrate immunology, environmental sustainability, and applied aquaculture research, I am committed to contributing to research that advances both fundamental knowledge and real-world solutions.
