Jorge Durán Humia completed the Bachelor degree (Biology) and the Advanced Studies Diploma in 2002 and 2003, respectively (Universidade de Vigo). He completed his Doctorate in Ecology in 2009 (Universidad Pablo de Olavide). He has produced more than 50 scientific SCI articles , and 7 book chapters. He has organized 2 international scientific events and participated in more than 40 scientific meetings (leading or co-authoring 18 conference posters and 23 talks). He has co-supervised 4 PhD (two more ongoing), 2 MSc, and 3 bachelor theses, and given classes at the University level in Spain and Portugal. Has received 6 awards and/or honors. He is currently the Principal investigator in 2 research projects and participates (or has participated) as researcher in more than 20 projects, and as a supervisor in 1 project. He is member of the Editorial Board of "Plant & Soil" and "Journal of Sustainable Agriculture and Environment", and has reviewed or edited more than 40 manuscripts for different international journals. He works in the area of Natural sciences, with emphasis on Biological Sciences (Ecology; Biogeochemistry). He has a network of collaborators (i.e. co-authors) with more than 100 scientists of 18 countries.
