Rui Maio is the clinical director and the coordinator of Esophageal-Gastro-Duodenal and Bilio-Pancreatic Centers of the Oncology Center of Hospital da Luz, Lisbon, and Full Professor of Surgery at NOVA Medical School. Maio is a surgeon specialized in Pancreatic and Esophageal-Gastro-Duodenal Surgery and Renal Transplantation, with a PhD in General Surgery. He is also the Clinical Director of the Surgical Department and Service, President of Clinical Investigation Commission, Commission of Continuous Medical Training, Commission of Medical accreditation and evaluation at Hospital Beatriz Ângelo, Lisbon.
