Rachel Cordeiro attends a PhD in Biomedical Sciences since the current year (2022) at Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar (ICBAS). She completed her Master's in Chemistry, Quality Control and Environment, in 2019 at the Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Coimbra (FCTUC). She has a degree in Biotechnology (2016) from the Escola Superior Agrária de Coimbra (ESAC) of the Polytechnic of Coimbra. Her research focuses on Tissue Engineering, specifically in the regeneration of cartilaginous tissue through temporary implants produced by Additive Manufacturing techniques. She participated in the project PAMI (project nº22158 SAICT- AAC nº01/SAICT/2016), 2bio4cartilage (POCI-01-0145-FEDER-023423), SafeBiotrash.Disposal (POCI-01-02B7-FEDER-069612), under COVID-19 projects, and Bio-discus project (CENTRO-01-0247-FEDER-039969). Published 3 papers in journal, 1 patent, 2 conference posters and 1 book chapter.
