Bruno Filipe Laranjeira Gonçalves completed his PhD in 2024 as part of Interuniversity Program in History PIUDHist, as well as in the context of a cotutelle with the University of Jena, at the Institut für Philosophie. His doctoral thesis has title "Hegelianism in Portugal: History, Philosophy and Politics (c. 1865-1933)" and was supervised by Prof. Sérgio Campos Matos and Klaus Vieweg. His undergraduate and master's degrees focused on historical theory themes, especially the 19th century period, with his master's thesis having for title "The Reception of Hegel in Portugal: The Case of Oliveira Martins". During his master's degree he completed an exchange and research stay at the Philosophy Seminar in the University of Tübingen. He was also an exchange student at King’s College of London during his bachelors degree. His area of ¿¿interest encompasses intellectual history in terms of the reception of ideas, appropriation and elaboration of concepts. Taking into account the perspective of cultural transfers, as well as the problems of hermeneutic in its relation to historical research and modern philosophy. The scope of his studies is therefore directed towards the theory of history and historiography as disciplinary branches of history.
