I have a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biosciences (2020/10/07) from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier (ITQB-NOVA). I took a Master's of Applied Microbiology (2010/12/06) from Universidade de Lisboa, Faculdade de Ciências (FCUL) and Bachelor's in Microbiology (2009/07/30) from Universidade de Lisboa, Faculdade de Medicina (FMUL). I did a Management course, Programa Geral de Gestão (PGG) from Universidade Católica Portuguesa that gave me insights into marketing, organization, and strategy. I have a Project Management course from NOVA Doctoral School (2019/09/20 to 2019/09/30). I am author of 11 articles in International Scientific Journals (Google scholar total citations: 199, h-index: 8, i10-index: 7). I am author of a book chapter. I was awarded by EBEC conference for Best Poster. I received a PhD Student Fellowship (PD/BD/113985/2015) inserted in the Molecular Biosciences Program from ITQB-NOVA (PD/00133/2012) with the project entitled Exploring structural/functional relationship in Type II NADH:quinone oxidoreductases (from 2016 to 2020). I had a Research Fellowship with a project entitled Structural and functional investigation of type II NADH:quinone oxidoreductases (from 2012 to 2015). I also received a Bridge Fellow (Ref 010/BI/2015) from Programa INCENTIVO/EQB/LA0004/2014 do LA Oeiras (Oeiras) (from 2015-07 to 2015-12). During my Ph.D. studies I supervised three master students and five undergraduate students. I organized the European Biophysics Congress, EBSA2013 and the European Bioenergetics Conference, EBEC2014. I have been invited to present my work at international conferences through oral presentations and poster sessions. I was engaged in outreach activities such as Open Day and European Researchers Night. I have scientific experience in the areas of Natural sciences with emphasis on Biological Sciences specifically on Microbiology, on Biochemistry, on Biophysics and on Molecular Biology.
