Beatriz Mouga Almeida started her academic journey in 2018 at the University of Greenwich through a Bachelor (Honours) in Forensic Science. During this time she developed skills in laboratory research, scientific writing and project development, either through classes or through training and internships provided. It was then concluded in 2021 with a grade of First Class Honours. Soon after, she made her way back to Portugal to attend the Masters in Forensic Anthropology at the University of Coimbra, which started in September 2021. Throughout the two years, she gained a taste for investigation, leading to wanting to create a great dissertation during her second year which was presented to the jury in July 2023 and gained high praise. Going forward a few months, she started her first year of PhD in Biological Anthropology to further pursue scientific investigation. To continuously learn she attends webinars relating to the field of Anthropology and Forensic Science whenever they are available and enrols in various short courses.
