Maria Teresa Duarte Barroca Delgado is since 2016 a Senior Member of IEEE-IES and since 2012 a Senior Member of SYSTEC. She obtained the PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) by UPORTO in 2012. Actually she is Assistant Professor of the Department of ECE and the director of the High Voltage Laboratory (LAT-FEUP). She teaches courses in the areas of electrical machines and power electronics with interest also extended to the comprehension and application of electric and magnetic phenomena, particularly in the MV and HV. As the director of LAT-FEUP she is involved in the accreditation process, in establishing collaborations with industry as well as similar research centres. She is supervising one PhD thesis and two Msc dissertations currently. As a researcher (h-index 7) she has co-organized and chaired many Special Sessions as IES Member, presented Tutorials, Seminars, and Lectures in International Conferences and Universities. She has publications in specialised Journals, and participates in national and international conferences and belongs to the revision committee of some IEEE Transaction Journals and Conferences. As an Independent Expert Evaluator she has been involved in H2020, Call: H2020-GV-2016-Topic-03 - Systems and Cost Optimized Hydridization of Road Vehicles and is currently involved in Horizon Europe, Cluster 5: Climate, Energy and Mobility) Call D5-2022: Clean and competitive solutions for all transport mode. M. T. Delgado curriculum includes shorter and longer stays in countries such as: Switzerland (working there for 2 years), Germany (for 2 months), Italy, France, Spain, Austria, Germany, Canada, USA, Japan, and China.
