Hello my name is Ana Alexandra da Costa Ribeiro and I am from Guimarães, Portugal. I have a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and a master's degree in Clinical Analysis and Public Health in the field of Microbiology. At International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) I devoloped my master thesis with the theme "Evaluation of the potential risk associated to the presence of antibiotic resistant microorganisms in food products" where, later on, I had the opportunity to participate in a project that focused on extraction of DNA from Escherichia coli using different COF's. Finally, after this project I worked for about 3 months, from December 2021 to March 2022, at UNILABS Portugal in the molecular biology laboratory, in the Covid-19 area. In February of 2022 I started my PhD in Methodology and Applications in Life Sciences at the University of Vigo. In October I started working at INL as a Junior Research Fellow in Molecular Methods for Foodborne Pathogens Detection.
