She graduated in Clinical analysis in 2015 and afterwards, she pursued in 2017 a master in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine in Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Driven by the passion for science, she completed her PhD in 2023 in Pharmacy in Research Institute for Medicines (iMed.ULisboa)/Faculty of Pharmacy of Universidade de Lisboa. In recent years, she focused on deciphering the potential of the frailty index to better describe phenotypical alterations at advanced age in Multiple Sclerosis, together with the effects of age on CNS pathogenesis and in peripheral immune response, and the effects on the gut-brain axis using the experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis model. As a junior researcher at i3S - Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde da Universidade do Porto, she has been focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms that drive Foxn1 expression in thymic epithelial cells. Her commitment to the science is demonstrated by her scientific achievements where she has authored and co-authored 5 scientific papers, 1 book chapter and has participated in more than 10 national and international conferences. She has been distinguished with 5 awards/recognitions and has participated in 3 research projects.
