Daniel Crespo have finished his MsC in Ecology by the University of Coimbra in 2008. He holds a PhD in Biosciences, specialization in Marine Ecology, by the University of Coimbra since 2017 and a post-grad course in Scientific Diving since 2022. He is a doctorate researcher in LifeWatch ERIC, and collaborator in CESAM-University of Aveiro. He has authored 24 papers for international peer reviewed journals, 15 abstracts in events' proceedings, 20 oral presentations, 2 book chapters, and collaborated on one book. He acted as reviewer for 22 journals, on 50 manuscripts. He won the MARS network Travel Award in 2014 and a grant to attend to the ASLO 2021 meeting. He mentored 1 undergraduate student and co-supervised a MSc thesis. He taught on several courses to undergraduate and master students. Daniel has been working in the cumulative effects of global changes, including thermal and salinity stresses, introduced species and biodiversity shifts, in the ecosystem functioning of estuarine systems. He took part in 10 research projects.
