Miguel G. Santos completed the BSc in Biology in 2011 and the MSc in Agricultural Engineering in 2015, both at the Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto (FCUP). He has finished his MSc studies after a 7-month internship at Wageningen University (Netherlands), in the Horticulture & Product Physiology group, where he addressed the problematics of tomato cultivation under saline conditions, in collaboration with the Plant Breeding department. From 2017 to 2020, Miguel Santos worked as a research fellow in the EU-project AgriNuPes (www.agrinupes.eu), which aimed at promoting efficient fertigation management in soilless horticulture. Moreover, since 2020 he has been working in teaching at FCUP, as an Invited Assistant (Soil Science; Horticulture; Production of fruits and vegetables). He is currently a PhD student in the Agricultural Sciences program from FCUP, where he has been developing his PhD program at GreenUPorto on the topic "Act-ON Psa: The role of plant nutrition and sustainable management tools for Psa mitigation in kiwifruit" in collaboration with CBQF - Universidade Católica and with U. Vigo (financed by FCT; 2020.08874.BD). So far, Miguel G. Santos published 3 articles in specialised peer-reviewed journals, 1 article in the Proceedings of an International Conference, 1 article in a technical-scientific magazine and several Project Reports,. He also presented his research both as oral communications and as posters in national and international conferences. His research interests include plant physiology, nutrition and pathology.
