Filipe Rebelo is an FCT Ph.D. research fellow (2021.06944.BD), developing his scientific activity on the subject: Radiant Floor Systems with optimized design and innovative solutions for high-end performance buildings. Filipe Rebelo previous scientific activity was developed in the scope of the Interreg Sudoe Project SUDOKET: Mapping, consolidating and dissemination of the Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) for the construction area in the SUDOE space (SOE2/P1/E0677), from July 2019 until March 2021. His research was focused on innovative materials, improving mortars thermal properties through incorporating phase change materials (PCMs), to study thermal response, reduction of energy consumption and overheating phenomena of low thermal mass buildings, by enhancing indoor passive thermal regulation. Filipe Rebelo graduated in December 2011 in Civil Engineering (M.Sc.) at the University of Aveiro, with the Master Thesis entitled: Soil-Structure interaction - Finite Element Method Analysis. From 2014 to 2018 attended the Bachelor Degree in Archaeology from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Coimbra, being acknowledged in 2016 with the 3% of the Best Students Award of the University of Coimbra. From October 2018 until June 2019 collaborated with the Passivhaus Zero Energy - Plataforma Portuguesa Association, performing design and research activities concerning energy efficiency and the Passive House concept, being acknowledged by the Portuguese Order of Engineers with the distinction of Best Internship in 2019. Currently, his Ph.D. research is focused on the study and development of innovative radiant floor systems incorporating PCMs and with an optimized design. Regarding the most relevant scientific activity, 10 articles were published in international peer-review journals, 1 poster and 3 papers were published in international scientific conferences. Filipe Rebelo scientific interests include PCM incorporation into constructive solutions, innovative materials, buildings energy efficiency, indoor comfort, and smart buildings.
