Tiago Soeiro Lopes. Completed the Bachelor's degree in Biology in 2019/07/12 at University of Aveiro, and Master's degree in Microbiology in 2021/06/30 by University of Aveiro. Published 3 international peer-reviewed article (2 as first author), and 1 oral presentation in an international congress. Works in the area(s)of Natural sciences with emphasis on Earth and Environmental Sciences: biochemical and metabolomics approaches in bacteria and plants subjected to contaminants (nanoparticles, metals) and abiotic (drought) factors; 2) promotion of plant growth by organic compounds (volatile and non-volatile) synthesized by rhizobacteria; 3) bacterial volatile organic compounds identification by gas chromatography and mass spectrometry (GC-MS and GCxGC-ToFMS); 4) increased tolerance of plants to abiotic (drought) stress. Is methodological skills are: 1)markers of biochemical and physiological status of bacteria and plants (CAT, SOD, ETS, Proteins, GSTs, GPx, PC and LPO); 2) design of uni and multifactorial experiments regarding both bacteria and plants; 3) univariate and multivariate data analysis (Primer, SPSS, SigmaPlot, Metaboanalyst); 4) microbiological methodologies; 5) identification of volatiles emitted by bacteria that can promote bacteria and plant growth (GC-MS and GCxGC-ToFMS). Currently, Tiago is doing his PhD with an FCT grant since November 2023 with the title of "EnVOC- Microencapsulation of rhizobacteria and volatile organic compounds: an approach to promote bacterial survival, plant growth promotion, and drought tolerance" with the supervision of Professor Doctor Etelvina Figueira (CESAM-UA), Professor Doctor Paula Marques (TEMA-UA) and Professor Doctor Carmen Girbés (IDAEA-CSIC).
