Aldo Venuti completed his Ph.D. in Virology, Microbiology, and Epidemiology in 1986 by Università di Roma La Sapienza - Institute of Virology, Master in Medicine in 1979 by Università di Roma La Sapienza - Institute of Virology and a Specialization in Clinical Pathology in 1983 by Università di Roma La Sapienza - Clinical Pathology School. He is an Assistant Professor in Università degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza, Head of HPV Unit in UOSD Tumor Immunology and Immunotherapy - IRCCS Regina Elena National Cancer Institute (IRE) and International Colaborator Researcher in Centro de Investigação em Ciências da Saúde do Universidade da Beira Interior (CICS-UBI), Portugal. He was PI of several research projects sponsored by Lega Italiana Lotta Tumori (LILT) and the Ministry of Health. In 2017, he was PI in internal Grant of IRE to investigate "Head/neck cancer and HPV: natural history and new therapies", and in 2020 he was PI of a clinical trial V503-049 sponsored by MSD to study the efficacy, immunogenicity, and safety of the 9vHPV vaccine in males. Currently, he is a PI of Lega Italiana Lotta Tumori (LILT) project entitled "New prognostic and predictive biomarkers for HPV-associated oropharyngeal cancer on HPV".
