Through my academic career, I have obtained expertise in biomolecules extraction from agrofood industry by-products and their application on the development of biodegradable bioplastic formulations, contributing to a circular and more sustainable economy. Currently, I am a Biochemistry PhD student at the University of Aveiro. I am studying the ability of using coffee industry by-products as a sustainable source of raw materials for the development of biodegradable bioplastic formulations suitable for paper coating.
