Ana Rita Coelho is researcher at Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology (CIES - Iscte). She completed her PhD in Sociology at ISCTE - University Institute of Lisbon in 2019, with the thesis "Seniors 2.0: digital inclusion in the network society". In 2008 she completed her master's thesis on the audiences of science museums. Since 2004 she has participated in a wide range of research projects as researcher, within the framework of CIES-IUL, such as “The Network Society in Portugal: a Decade of Transition” and “Reading, School and Society: Evaluation Studies of the National Reading Plan”. Her main areas of research are sociology of science and technology, ways of life and public policies, and literacy and education.
