Luís Miguel da Silva Dias completed his Ph.D. in Production Engineering and Systems in 2005, Master's in Computer Science in 1997, and Bachelor's in Systems Engineering and Informatics in 1993 at the University of Minho. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of Minho. He has published dozens of articles in specialized journals and contributed to numerous book chapters. He has served as Co-Principal Investigator in several funded projects. His research focuses on using simulation in industrial problems, particularly within the scope of Industry 4.0, with Digital Twins.
