Fernando Jorge Ribeiro Correia is a University Professor at the Department of Engineering and Computer Science and a researcher at INESC-ID and the Naval Research Center in Lisbon, Portugal. He completed his bachelor's degree in 1991, his master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2000 and his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering in 2010, both at the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon. Between 2009 and 2016 he was a professor at the Portuguese Navy's Naval School and coordinator of the cycle of studies for Naval Engineers in the Weapons and Electronics branch. During this period, he was also a professor and coordinator of the master's degree in Information Security and Law in Cyberspace, a master's degree held in partnership with the Instituto Superior Técnico and the Law School of the University of Lisbon. Between 2010 and 2014 he was a guest professor at the NOVA School of Information Management and Statistics at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Between 2016 and 2019 he was part of the International Military Staff, at the NATO Head Quarters Command, Control and Consultation (NHQC3S) Information Services Branch (ISB), performing the functions of Data Link Support Staff (DLSS) and vice-chair in the Tactical Data Link Capability Team, where he was responsible for the development and management of NATO procedural interoperability standards, oriented towards the command, control and information systems of NATO's tactical forces and headquarters. He is the author of several conference and journal papers on routing protocols in mobile AdHoc networks and a reviewer for several international journals and conferences.
