Adrián did the degree of Biology and the master of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Santiago de Compostela and his PhD at the University of Córdoba (Spain). He specialized in soil science discipline since he was studying the degree. During his career in Spain, Portugal and Belgium he got experience in soil evolution in cold climates, soil fertility, geochemistry of P and Zn, entomopathogenic fungi as growth promoters microorganisms and its influence on plant immune system. He was also the Technical Director of Inproyen, where he applied his knowledge in the waste recovery field. Thus, he designed Technosols and agriculture substrates to mine areas restoring and fertilization, respectively. Nowadays, he is working at Agronomy Institute of Lisbon (Portugal) with a post-doctoral fellowship and its goal is using wastes to mitigate polluting gases from slurry that can be used as fertilizers.
