My scientific research has started in the field of ornamental crustaceans’ aquaculture in order to reduce capture of wild species in coral reefs using destructive techniques. My PhD focused on the effect of anthropogenic contamination on mangrove fauna communities, as well as their functioning on sediment biogeochemistry, leading to higher rates of human waste filtration by mangrove wastewater wetlands. At present, I am a Post-Doc intending at modeling the effect of fauna on sediment biogeochemistry and release of Green House Gases from Coastal Ecosystems.
