Cristiano Rodrigues holds a master's degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering obtained at the University of Minho (Portugal). Cristiano specialized in the field of embedded systems carrying out his master's thesis under the supervision of associate professor Dr. Adriano Tavares. Cristiano's thesis focused on developing a safety-critical system that relies on fault tolerance and redundancy techniques, e.g., lockstep, to keep operating in harsh environments even in the presence of faults. Since finishing his Master's, Cristiano has been working on an R&D project, Easy Ride Project, partnerships between the University of Minho and Bosch Car Multimedia Portugal, focusing on developing smart sensors for autonomous cars. Cristiano is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in embedded systems security. His research interest includes hardware/software co-design, safety-critical systems, operating systems, real-time systems, fault tolerance, software-based microarchitectural attacks, and embedded security for IoT-based systems.
