M. Clara Barata completed the Doctorate in Education in Human Development and Education in 2011 at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, the Master's in Education in Human Development and Psychology with optional area of focus in Quantitative Methodology in Developmental Research in 2005 at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Licenciatura in Clinical training in Clinical Child Psychology in 2003 at the Universidade de Lisboa Faculdade de Psicologia e Ciências de Educação.
