M. Helena Garcia is Associate Professor with Habilitation at University of Lisbon (FCUL) jubilated by 31 of May of 2017. Since then she got a collaboration agreement with FCUL where she continues her leadership on the Organometallic Research Laboratory, working on the synthesis of organometallic compounds for cancer therapy also being co-coordinator of the Bioinorganic Chemistry and Drug Development, Group of the Centro de Química Estrutural (CQE), a Research Unit of the University of Lisbon (ULisboa). M. Helena Garcia is co-founder of the start-up company ´Something in Hands-Investigação Científica, Lda´, of FCUL´s spin-off (rebranded as R-nuucell (http://r-nuucell.com/), a semi finalist of InnoStars - EIT Health awards (2021) and an awardee of Women TechEU (2022). M. Helena Garcia has been leader of several national and European funded scientific research projects and was Member of the Division of Organometallic Chemistry of European Association Chemical and Molecular Sciences, as delegate of Portuguese Chemical Society, in the period 1992-2017. She was for many years the Institutional Erasmus Coordinator at the International Office at Faculty of Sciences of University of Lisbon. M. Helena Garcia has a long experience as a scientific adviser of Post-Doc¿s, PhD, Master, Erasmus and graduation students. She authored over 130 articles published in international journals with peer review and book chapters, 4 inter-/national patents, more than 75 oral presentations (40 by invitation), more than 250 Posters at national and international conferences and several conference proceedings. M. Helena Garcia is co-author of Portuguese translation of the book Nomenclature of Inorganic Chemistry - IUPAC Recommendations 2005 published by the Portuguese Society of Chemistry and IST Press in 2017. M. Helena Garcia was delegate of FCUL at United Nations, Geneva, to participate at “Meeting of Experts “ Geneva, on THE BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS CONVENTION, 16–20 July 2012, Geneva.
