Peruvian Educator, Psychologist and Criminologist. He is a senior researcher and international consultant to government agencies in social reintegration of children and adolescents in conflict with the Penal Law and Gang prevention. He completed his undergraduate studies in Clinical Psychology and Social Psychology at Pontifical Catholic University of Peru – PUCP and in Secondary Education at National Major University of San Marcos – UNMSM, where he earned his Bachelor degree and License respectively. He holds a Master of Arts in Criminology and Juvenile Delinquency (M.A.) from University of Castilla–La Mancha; a Master in Law (LL.M.) in Children in Desprotection and Social Conflict, and a Master of Research (M.Res.) in Psycho-socioeducational Research in Adolescents in Schools from University of Vigo; and a Master of Sciences (M.Sc.) in Applied Psychology from University of La Coruña. He completed doctoral studies in Psycho-socioeducational Intervention in Education at University of Vigo and in Clinical Psychology at University of Santiago de Compostela. He completed his studies of Master in Neuroscience at UNMSM, and Master in Educational Policy at PUCP. He holds a Diploma in Development and Adolescent Health at Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and in Development and Prevention of Juvenile Violence at UNMSM. He is a specialist in Children Rights by University of Ghent, in Welfare and Child Abuse by University of Salamanca, in Citizen Safety by Legal Defense Institute, and Global Health and Diplomacy in Health by Lisbon Institute of Global Mental Health – Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He holds a PhD in Criminology (focused on Developmental Criminology, Drug Abuse and Evaluation Research) at The School of Criminology from The University of Porto (Summa Cum Laude). His areas of specialization and research are the development of antisocial behavior during the course of life, Developmental Criminology; youth risk behaviors, juvenile violence prevention, child protection and juvenile justice systems, treatment of serious juvenile offenders, evaluation of social-reintegration programs for adolescents and juveniles offenders, and educational and psychological measurement. He has also conducted quantitative and qualitative studies on juvenile violence prevention in the school and family, the development of trajectories of adolescent antisocial behavior, a national victimization survey in Peru, citizen security, criminal justice, drugs and sexual abuse, children and adolescents in difficult circumstances and drug treatment in young offenders. He has been a Visiting Professor at The Hochschule Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Porto University, University of Sao Paulo, National University of Distance Education, University of Chile, University of La Frontera and Instituto Superior de Ciências Jurídicas e Sociais (Cabo Verde) in topics on Youth Violence Intervention, Design and Evaluation of Programs, Gangs, Developmental Criminology and Juvenile Justice. He has been a Coordinator and a Professor of The Specialization Course in Assessment and Risk Management of Recidivism in Juvenile Offenders at Pontifical Catholic University of Peru Department of Psychology, where he was an Associate Professor in courses such as Design and Evaluation of Programs, Criminology, Thesis Seminar, Neurosciences and Prevention in Mental Health. He has been a Professor in The Diploma of Criminology at PUCP (Criminology and Gender), in the Diploma on Integral Development and Youth Violence Prevention and a Professor in the Master Degrees in Citizen Security and in Criminal Sciences at The Faculties of Psychology and of Law at UNMSM, in courses such as Juvenile Delinquency, Criminology, Prevention and Citizen Security, Research Methods in Criminology and Social Education. He was a Professor at University Antonio Ruíz de Montoya Education and Psychology Schools in courses such as Learning Psychology and of Cognitive Processes.
