Nuno Conceicao

Nuno Conceição obtained his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at (FP-UL) in 2011, as well and his MA, in 2006 after his BA (5 years) in 1999, after his Abitur in German School of Lisbon in 1994. Initially, he specialized in Clinical Psychology at the University of Lisbon, and as a psychotherapist at the Portuguese Association for Behavioral and Cognitive and Integrative Therapies (APTCCi), followed by professional training in multiple psychotherapeutic approaches from an integrative perspective. He has developed clinical work with adults in general, as well as with those more injured with complex trauma, personality disorders and structural dissociation of the personality, and practices clinically since 2000. Since 2011 he is a professor at FP-UL. For the last 13 years he designed and supervised more than 50 master's level research projects. He directs Paradigmatic Complementarity Lab, an independent practice research network developing research projects on themes related to Psychotherapy Integration, Change Processes and Mechanisms, Case and Process Formulation in Psychotherapy, Integrative Clinical Decision Making in Psychotherapy and Ecological Dimension in Psychotherapy. He is also a professional therapist trainer on Psychotherapy Integration modules at APTCCi. He is still supervisor and clinical professional development consultant at OneSession.org. He held active volunteer participation in an international society, SEPI - Society for the Exploration of Psychotherapy Integration, where he was president-elect designate, president-elect, and president, after having co-chaired the Regional Networks Committee for 4 years.
