Bernardo Ferro

Bernardo Ferro is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Philosophical Studies (IEF) of the University of Coimbra, where he works on the history of philosophy, social and political philosophy and critical theory. He was a visiting researcher at the Humboldt University of Berlin, a postdoctoral fellow at KU Leuven and a teaching assistant at the University of Wuppertal and the University of Warwick. He is the author of the monographs "Masters, Slaves and Philosophers" (Springer, 2022) and "Hegel Beyond Liberalism: The Dialectic of Political and Economic Democracy" (Cambridge University Press, forthcoming in 2025), and has written book chapters, reviews and articles for Inquiry, the European Journal of Philosophy, Philosophy & Social Criticism, Critical Horizons, Kairos, Hegel-Studien, Hegel Bulletin, Archiv für Geschichte der Philosophie and Revista Portuguesa de Filosofia, among others.
