2019/10/15 A degenerescência macular da idade (DMI), apontada como a causa mais comum de perda de visão irreversível em pessoas acima dos 60 anos. A fase precoce pode atingir até 13% das pessoas com mais de 70 anos, caraterizando-se por um período assintomático. Apenas a ida ao médico permite verificar a existência de lesões oculares, multiformes e amareladas, que aparecem no fundo do olho.
