Marta Sampaio is a Researcher at the Centre for Research and Intervention in Education (CIIE) at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto (FPCEUP). Since 2013, Marta Sampaio has carried out research in the area of external evaluation of schools (project "Impact and Effects of External Evaluation in Schools - Impact and Effects of External Evaluation in Non-Higher Education Schools", PTDC/CPE-CED/116674/2010, FCT), self-evaluation ("The relevance of self-evaluation processes - The relevance of self-evaluation processes in basic and secondary schools", SK-PT-2015-NEWPROJECT-6457, FCT) and social justice (SFRH/BD/98799/2013; and EDU2017-82688-P, "DEMOSpEJS - Democracy in schools as the cornerstone of an education for social justice", Agencia Estatal de Investigación/MEIC Spain). She was a member of the A3ES - Assessment and Accreditation Agency for Higher Education, as a student-assessor, integrating External Evaluation Commissions that assess study cycles and internal quality assurance systems for their accreditation and certification, respectively. She worked in the Quality Assurance, Accreditation and Employability Office of the Rectory of the NOVA University of Lisbon where she contributed to the implementation and operationalization of the internal monitoring and quality assurance system through the definition of quantitative and qualitative indicators for the system; the construction of an online platform/dashboard; the creation of report models and questionnaires; and in the production of the quality manual. Since 2018, she is part of the research team of the project "GROW.UP - Growing in Border Regions of Portugal: young people, educational pathways and agendas" (PTDC/CEDG-EDG/29943/2017, EUR 226.000) through the implementation and management of all activities related to the project focused on the monitoring of youth pathways of regular and vocational education students in schools located in border regions in Portugal. Currently, Marta Sampaio is the National Coordinator of the University of Porto team that is part of the ERASMUS+ project "CARE4SUD - Vocational Training in Illicit Drug Addiction: Equipping health professionals with skills and techniques for treating drug addiction" (2022-1-LT01-KA220-VET-000086077, EUR 250,000). Under the Individual Call to Scientific Employment Stimulus of the Foundation for Science and Technology, she is also responsible for the project "Drawing social justice indicators: inputs from schools' self-evaluation and resilience approaches of TEIP schools located in Portuguese border regions" (2020.04271.CEECIND). She participated in the "Study on Higher Education and Professional Cybersecurity Education in Portugal, within the scope of the Cybersecurity Observatory", funded by the National Cybersecurity Center and she is member of the team responsible for the "Interim Evaluation Study of Results of the Programme Cidadãos Ativ@S" funded by the Bissaya Barreto Foundation and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
