I am looking for funds for my PhD project on socioecological issues in Marine Protected Areas in the European Union. I am passionate about ecosystems functioning and understanding our interactions with them. I am specialized in ecological sciences. I have a master degree in Ecology and Conservation Biology, and a bachelor degree in Biology and Ecology. I obtained both degrees with congratulations. I also completed a Magistère of Biology (3 years), which gave me skills in genetics, scientific project set-up, English and communication. I worked on a great diversity of projects, including reforestation ecology, wildlife and fisheries management and conflicts, conservation psychology, and evolutionary ecology. I volunteered in several natural areas throughout the world, like Costa Rica and Kyrgyzstan, to work on conservation issues of charismatic vertebrate (e.g., leatherback turtles, snow panthers). I participated in four main research projects. First, I worked on our perceptions of Nature (CESCO laboratory), through our sensorial experiences of natural elements, using approaches from body anthropology and conservation psychology. I worked for a year (CNRS laboratories) on conflicts around interacting marine predators (odontocetes and sharks) and pelagic industrial fisheries; I worked on the impacts (important shark bycatch, no real loss to fisheries), its management, and the fishers' perceptions (strong affect against cetaceans, while very little depredation is actually reported) of such interactions. I then worked on effects of climate changes on the evolution of bird reproduction phenology (CEFE laboratory): using quantitative genetics, we found that only plastic changes allowed for an earlier laying, the latter being necessary to follow their preys' phenology, and we observed no genetic changes in the population, which might reduce their evolutionary potential towards increasing temperatures. Lastly, I worked on the trends of vertebrate populations in the whole Mediterranean (Tour du Valat research institute), using the Living Planet Index, showing both drastic decreases of most taxa and important lacks of monitoring for some taxa (reptiles, mammals, amphibians and mostly from protected areas) and countries. My work on these diversified subjects allows me to apprehend the great complexity of socio-ecological systems, to understand the different stakes of conservation research. I master various statistical analyses methods ; I am experienced with database management, and various software: R, Matlab, JMP, Image J, Access, Photoshop, notions of QGIS, bibliography tools. I worked with several survey techniques: sociological surveys (observations, written surveys, interviews), biological measures (biometrics, dissection and microscopy) population monitoring of various vertebrate taxa (bird and turtle banding, photo-identification, inventories and transects for birds, panthers, reptiles, amphibians, actinopterygians, cetaceans). I am an experienced diver (French certification level 2). I am a photographer for NGOs. I am skilled in science communication, writing on my blog, regularly presenting my work to scientists and participating to sensitization activities for the public. I am strongly involved in building different relationships with nature. I am volunteering in several NGOs, I am involved in actions on the climate changes theme (translation for the environmental law NGO Notre Affaire à Tous, animator of the climate mural « La Fresque du Climat »). I especially do sensitization actions on protecting biodiversity through different activities (conferences, exhibition, wildlife rescue), I regularly teach in primary school classes on biodiversity in general and ecosystems functioning. I also act for Women's rights, animating discussion groups. I am working on a project with Youth For Climate France and multiple researchers for an education to environmental issues at the national scale.

2020/11 - Current I am a volunteering translator for the NGO Notre Affaire à Tous, for reports on environmental law and its applications. Anchored in the fight for the preservation of nature, Notre Affaire à tous works to establish climate justice, seeking to have the most serious environmental violations recognized. Translator
2020/10 - Current I am an active member of the Youth For Climate mouvement in France (French division of Fridays For Future, initiated by Greta Thunberg), a movement of young people mobilized for climate and social justice, and for environmental and biodiversity protection. I am especially involved in an education project, we work with researchers in educational sciences, to improve the French national eductional system.
2016 - Current I regularly animate primary school sessions about the functioning of ecosystems and biodiversity in general (e.g. on trophic chains, through the forest, ocean and soil examples, on taxonomy, evolution and basic biology): classroom lessons, creation of games and exercises, assistance to teachers on biology programs, discussion around the perceptions and behaviors of students. Freelancer, with the NGO Générations Eco-Responsables. Animator and content creator
2016 - Current I regularly volunteer to monitor wildlife. I participated in many ringing activities (Passerines, Pelecaniformes). I participated in photo-ID projects (panthers, spermwhales). I took part in punctual missions of monitoring different taxa with different NGOs (census of birds, arthropods, amphibians, reptiles, grey wolves, brown bears).
2019/09 - 2020/09 I was a Biodiversity Sensitization Animator, volunteering for the association "Éclaireuses et Éclaireurs de la Nature", which is a scouting movement member of the French Scouting Federation, meeting the current pedagogy of scouting and the education to ecology. I was an animator for a group of children aged 8 to 11 years old, creating games about biodiversity, and co-animating monthly sessions in the wild. Animator
2018/03 - 2018/08 I volunteered in various projects in French Polynesia. I helped with fieldwork from CRIOBE students to monitor the coral ecosystems (coral bleaching, clow fishes behaviors), during my stay in the laboratory, in the Moorea Archipelago. I was a volunteering diver for the Groupe d'Etude des Mammifères Marins, to monitor the bottlenose dolphin populations in the Rangiroa Archipelago, and the impacts of the important recreative diving activity, often trying to establish contacts with dolphins.
2015/07/01 - 2017/09/16 I joined the NGO Objectif Sciences International in Kyrgyzstan, to monitor the population of snow panthers in the Sarychat Ertash natural reserve; we also monitored all clues of ibexes, bears, wolves, Pallas's cats, eagles, and vultures. We were doing monitoring transects every day in the mountains, working with local people, to assess population sizes, collect sample (genetics analyses to identify individuals), assess hunting and poaching threatening snow panther populations. I worked on photo-identification of panther individuals.
2014/06/01 - 2014/08/29 I was a volunteer for 2 months in the Pacuare Reserve, in Costa Rica. This area is rich in wildlife, with more than 300 animal species, like monkeys, birds, jaguar, ocelot or sloths. I was working on the turtle reproduction monitoring (leatherback, green, and hawksbill sea turtles), the reserve animation activities (sensitization about turtles and poaching with school classes, classes of photography and naturalist drawings). I participating in preventing poaching and assessing its impacts on turtles.
