Bianca is a researcher at ISQ (Welding and Quality Institute) since january 2018 who currently has been working with welding technologies, additive manufacturing and materials characterization. M.Sc. in metallurgical and materials engineering she graduated at COPPE/UFRJ, Brazil (2018). She had studied Wire arc additive manufacturing of Al alloys for her master thesis and Laser metal deposition (LMD) of Ni alloys for her graduation project as a metallurgical engineer. In her previous experiences, she worked as a research in the R&D and industry consulting department at SENAI Welding Technology Institute, Brazil (2015-2018). There she worked mainly with laser welding technologies, such as LMD, laser welding and laser-arc hybrid welding, and in the materials characterization, involving mechanical properties and microstructural evolution. Metallurgical engineer exchange student for Science without borders program at the University of Alabama, USA, for 14 months (2013-2014) - Dean Honors list every term attended. She worked in a research project of optimization of indefinite chill rolls of a local metalworking plant, called Whemco Steel. Furthermore, she worked at Mechanical Properties Laboratory – DEMM / UFRJ over one year in the study and characterization of Mg alloys for Hydrogen storage using different catalyzers.
