Andreia Granja has a Masters' degree in Bioengineering - Specialization in Molecular Biotechnology from the University of Porto (FEUP/ICBAS) and a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology Applied to Health Sciences from University of Porto (ICBAS/FFUP) (concluded on November 2022). Her PhD project was developed at LAQV, REQUIMTE and comprised the design of multifunctional lipid nanoparticles for breast cancer therapy. She is currently the author of 21 peer-reviewed papers, 1 book chapter, 23 poster communications and 18 oral communication in national and international conferences. Andreia has expertise in nanomedicine and drug delivery. Her current interests include the development of light-based nanotherapies, such as photothermal and photodynamic therapy and the design of innovative lipid-based nanosystems for cancer therapy applications. Andreia is a Junior Researcher at LAQV, REQUIMTE, and recently was granted with the Individual Call to Scientific Employment Stimulus from FCT (Ref: 2023.06200.CEECIND/CP2842/CT0003, doi.org/10.54499/2023.06200.CEECIND/CP2842/CT0003). She is also the Responsible Investigator for the FCT-funded project “Glioblastoma personalized therapy based on bioinspired nonlamellar LYotropic colloid Nanoparticles with Tumor homing ability (GLYNT)” (Ref 2023.13674.PEX, https://doi.org/10.54499/2023.13674.PEX.)
