Carla Leite started her PhD degree in Biology and Ecology of the Global Change in 2020 at the University of Aveiro. She holds a graduation in Marine Science (2017) and a MSc in Toxicology and Ecotoxicology (2019), both from the University of Aveiro. She did a 1 month (January 2019) traineeship at the University of Federico II (Naples, Italy), with the aim to learn histopathological methods. She attended an Advanced Course on Biomarkers at University of Aveiro, from 17th to 21st June 2019. Her areas of expertise are related to biochemical and histopathological changes in economically and ecologically marine invertebrates under stressful conditions, and also related to embryotoxicity and methods for the quantification of trace elements in water and tissues. Carla was a fellow (12 months grant) of the project ASARISAFE and is author/co-author of 9 ISI papers, 2 oral communications and 2 poster communications.
