Daniela Jesus Pereira Silva

Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics with specialization in Spatio-Temporal Statistics, and an expert in species distribution modeling for marine applications. Strong background in geostatistics, preferential sampling, zero-inflated models, and the integration of fishery-dependent and independent data. Experienced in the development of novel spatial sampling designs and joint modeling frameworks to assess environmental drivers of marine species. Passionate about the intersection of statistical modeling and sustainable marine resource management, an active member of the ICES/PICES Working Group on Sustainable Pelagic Forage Communities (PICES WG53 / ICES WGSPF), and a proven contributor to impactful international research projects and symposia.
