I hold a degree in Genetics and Biotechnology and a Master’s in Food Engineering from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. In 2021, I contributed to the molecular identification of Dictyocaulus capreolus in cervids, a groundbreaking achievement in Portugal that led to my first publication. Between 2022 and 2023, I investigated Food Safety in Restaurants, presenting significant results at conferences and publishing two articles as first author. I am currently working with the NUTRIMU Group at CIIMAR on the Horizon 2020 project “NEOGIANT,” where I explore the applications of grape extracts as antimicrobial alternatives in aquaculture.
