Max Anjos has PhD degree in Physical Geography at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning of the University of Lisbon (IGOT - ULisbon). He has a post-doctoral in Climatology at the Federal University of Technology - Paraná (Brazil). In 2019, he received the National Award of Orlando Ribeiro Geography -Honorable Mention from the Portuguese Geographers Association (PGA) as the best PhD thesis. I have extensively worked on the production of Local Climate Zones and Urban Climatic Maps that are the two most important climate-based classification for urban climate studies. His focus is on the relationship between climate change and urban areas.
