I am a PhD Research Fellow of Psychology at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, in collaboration with the University of Tübingen, Germany. My main research field is emotion perception across the psychotic spectrum, namely how facial expressions i) access visual awareness, ii) capture exogeneous attention, and iii) are extrapolated in terms of their dynamics. I am also interested in emotional chemosignaling in the general population and in autism-spectrum disorders, visual perception, and dementia. Member of the Order of Portuguese Psychologists (20991) and Certificated trainer (F649114/2016).
