Ana De Fátima Durão Correia was born in 1992 in Barreiro. She holds a BA in Arts and Humanities with a Major in English Studies and a Minor in History (2013) by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon. She obtained a Post-Graduation in History and Gender from the same institution in 2014 with a classification of 16 values, where she explored themes such as the construction of European monarchies and royal houses and the conceptions of power and gender in the Middle Ages. She obtained her Master's degree in 2016 with a thesis in History, specialising in Gender History, the first in Portugal, entitled "The power of the Genitrix - Gender, legitimacy and lineage: Emma of Normandy, Urraca of León-Castile and Teresa of Portugal" with a classification of 18 values. In 2016-2017, she attended the first postgraduate course in Medieval Studies at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of Lisbon with outstanding interest for the subjects of Philosophy and Art in the Middle Ages, Literature and Poetics, History of Medieval Societies and Fantasies and Medievalidities. Unfortunately, she wasn´t able to conclude it for personal reasons. In 2017 she attended the first curricular year of the PhD in History at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra but returned to Lisbon to start a PHD in English Studies to pursue a study plan with a transversal approach in Anglo-Saxon literature and history of the High Middle Ages. She is currently writing her thesis in English entitled "Ideals of Sovereignty in the Anglo-Saxon World - 8th to 11th century)". She is a researcher at the Centre for English Studies (CEAUL) of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon and Editorial Assistant of the Anglo-Saxon journal of the same research center since 2018. She has been a tutor of English III and IV OPen University since 2021. She was a member and co-founder of the Center for Medieval Studies at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon from 2018 to 2020 having given lectures, open classes, and free courses on Medieval Philosophy, Mythologies, and Medieval English History. Since graduating, she has taught classes at the invitation of professors in Medieval History and Medieval English History and Literature. She is co-organizer and co-founder of the event "Colloquium Peculiar - improbable transdisciplinarities" held annually since 2018 at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra. Since 2014 she has participated in several conferences in Portugal and abroad on fantasy and medievalities, English history and culture, Military History, Medieval History and Literature, and Genre and Power.
