Gonçalo Espírito Santo is currently fermentation technician and researcher at Allmicroalgae, Natural Products S.A since 2022. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in biology from Instituto Superior de Agronomia (final project that resulted on his first scientific publication) and master’s degree from Instituto Superior Técnico. His master’s thesis developed in partnership with Allmicroalgae, was focused on auto and heterotrophic cultivation of promising microalgae strains with industrial production relevance. After accomplished his master's degree, he worked as researcher in the same company, contributing on different research projects, such as Algavalor, Performalgae, Magnificent and Microobost. With only 4 years of experience in algal biotechnology, he has two publications in peer-reviewed journals (one as first author) and he performed two poster presentations in AlgaEurope conferences.
