Giulia Molina is currently a PhD student at University of Algarve and studies benthic foraminifera fauna in order to reconstruct environmental parameters (such as oxygen level, paleoproductivity and bottom current velocity) from Iberian Margin during the Mid-Pleistocene transition. She holds a degree in Oceanography and has recently completed her Masters Degree in Sciences at Universidade de São Paulo (2021). In 2016, she was a visiting scientist at University of Plymouth (UK) and worked with benthic foraminifera ecology from South-West England, which has contributed of generation of three papers. During her undergraduate course, Giulia studied benthic foraminifera from continental slope of Southwestern Atlantic and also worked with environmental monitoring at Petrobras (2017-2019).
